Informal Environmental Management System
Achieving ISO 14001 certification may not be considered necessary in business terms, taking into consideration both the initial cost and on-going human resource commitment. Yet equally organisations of all sizes are becoming increasingly aware of the sustainable value and financial savings that accrue from an effective environmental management system. Our experience is that clients prefer to engage with environmentally-aware organisations and staff are naturally motivated to work towards environmental improvements. An informal EMS is a cost effective way to implement a systematic approach to achieving this and demonstrating commitment to continual environmental improvement.
