Thermography for Building Diagnostics
A thermography survey is a non-invasive means of monitoring and diagnosing the condition of a building. Our thermal imaging camera can identify problems such as:
- missing insulation;
- draughts / air leaks;
- damp;
- leaks in flat roofs;
- breaches on hot-water pipes;
- faults in under-floor heating systems.
Here are some examples taken by our thermographer on previous surveys:
The yellow line around the foundation of this house may signal that the property has solid floors and the insulation stops at the base of the wall.
From inside the property, the thermal image clearly highlights the roof beams within the ceiling and where sections of roof insulation are missing towards the edge of the room.
This image identifies where draught proofing needs replacing around a door frame. You can see the cold air coming in from outside.
